-The Phoenix has Landed: The Phoenix lander made the first successful Martian polar landing on May 25th. This marks the sixth successful surface landing and the first successful soft landing since the Viking missions in 1976. The HiRse orbiter also snapped some amazing pics of the lander in action, a first for a landing on another world! (more…)
